Growing Rural Communities Sustainably
Gram Vikas brings together Apni Maa, Gau Maa and Prakriti Maa. Apni Maa represents women’s empowerment through Self-Help Groups, skills and savings. Prakriti Maa connects natural farming, native trees, water conservation and protection of birds, bees and other life.
Our aim is to establish a self-sustaining prototype in Jawhar / Mokhada by March 2028, creating dignified work within villages and giving young people a reason to stay. This prototype is intended to provide a blueprint capable of scaling across six lakh villages of Bharat, contributing to the Golden Sparrow 2047 vision. These are future goals, not completed impact.
Gram Vikas strengthens rural communities by connecting Gaushala care, natural resources, responsible farming and community participation, creating practical systems that can gradually support cleaner, healthier and more self reliant villages.
Gaushalas can become more than shelters. With responsible cattle care, cleanliness, water management, composting and community involvement, they can develop into meaningful centres supporting animals, agriculture and surrounding village communities.
Cattle dung and organic material can become useful rural resources when managed responsibly. Gram Vikas encourages practical composting and suitable biogas solutions that support cleaner surroundings and better resource utilisation.
Organic compost created from available cattle resources can contribute to responsible soil care. The initiative aims to connect Gaushalas and farming communities through practical methods that make local resources useful again.
Sustainable village progress requires local participation. Farmers, youth, women’s groups, Gaushala workers and volunteers can become part of systems that strengthen environmental responsibility while creating opportunities for meaningful community involvement.
“When a village learns to value every resource around it, progress begins from within.”
