Ghar Kar Foundation is developing a self-sustaining Gram Vikas model centred on three mothers: Apni Maa, Gau Maa, and Prakriti Maa. By bringing together women’s Self-Help Groups, cow-based livelihoods, natural farming, water conservation, and native tree plantation, we aim to create dignified work within villages giving young people a reason to stay and families a reason to return.
"Ek aisa gaon, jahan 3 Maa khush rahe Apni Maa, Gau Maa, Prakriti Maa.” Our mission is to establish a self-sustaining prototype village by March 2028, connecting women’s empowerment, cow-based enterprises, and ecological restoration to create sustainable livelihoods and help youth build their futures in their own villages.
To develop a Gram Vikas prototype by March 2028 that provides a blueprint capable of scaling across six lakh villages of Bharat. Through thriving communities, restored ecosystems, and compassionate care for living beings, we aspire to contribute to Bharat’s revival as the Golden Sparrow by 2047, the centenary of Independence.

Know MoreGhar Kar Foundation plans rainwater harvesting systems according to the requirements of each location, including available land, rainfall patterns and suitable groundwater recharge conditions. The approach may include new systems as well as improvement of suitable existing structures after proper assessment.
Ghar Kar Foundation aims to strengthen green cover through plantation activities planned around suitable native species, available land and local environmental conditions. The approach connects plantation with regular watering, protection and monitoring so that planted trees receive continued care beyond the initial plantation stage.
Ghar Kar Foundation aims to support safer and more responsible environments for animals by connecting shelter requirements with access to water, shade, cleaner surroundings and appropriate use of available resources. Support may vary according to the requirements of individual Gaushalas and animal care locations.

With suitable planning, a cow shelter can become a centre of care, conservation and local renewal. Rainwater harvesting can strengthen water availability for animals and daily shelter needs. Trees can provide shade while improving the surrounding environment. Cattle dung can be converted into compost or biogas instead of remaining unused. Compost can support responsible farming and improve the productive use of local resources. Biogas can offer a cleaner source of energy wherever suitable systems are available. Village participation can help these activities remain practical and locally managed. Farmers may benefit from access to organic compost produced nearby. Gaushala teams can develop more organised methods for water, waste and shelter management. Together, these connected efforts can help cow shelters move towards greater environmental and operational sustainability.
From safer habitats for animals and birds to greener landscapes, water conservation and stronger village systems, our causes turn practical action into lasting care for nature and life.

Tree Plantation supports greener surroundings by encouraging suitable plantation activities, environmental care and responsible community participation while contributing towards healthier and more sustainable rural spaces.
Our Water Harvesting initiative focuses on practical rainwater conservation, groundwater recharge, restoration of suitable water structures and locally appropriate systems based on actual site requirements.

Ghar Kar Foundation begins with a wider responsibility: to help rain return to the earth, saplings become living trees, animals find safer shelter and villages create value from resources already within reach.
